why is the aussie dollar going south ! it always happens just before i go overseas

normal fluctuations, the hint on zimbabwe is scary, if the aussie ever gets there they probably change the name to Atlantis and sink it

^ you make me laugh. Seriously, the decrease in exchange rate is badly affecting us since we got relatives sending us monthly allowance from Aust and the remittance has significantly decrease its value.

Looks like the Aussie dollar has broke its all time high in recent times. It goes to show all financial instruments are cyclical in nature except for your unusual case of Zimbabwe with Hyperinflation.
