Default bank loan robbery?

i recently go tthe time to actually look at what i was paying my bank for the 2 loans i have with them and i am very irate with what i just read.

my first loan is an unsecured loan and is in the amount of $2300 but what i cant figure out is how the bank can just up and change my interest rate with out even so much as a phone call or a snail mail notification! it jumped from 9% to 18% in what seemed like over night.

my second grievance is that all the money i put towards my second loan (for my 2005 honda cbr 1000rr) seems to go anywhere but towards the actual amount i owe on it. last month (1 march 2009) i made my payment and check the balance a week later and the previous balanced hadnt changed a bit!!! now why is that cause i payed the bank 316.82 for the loan payment and the amount didnt go down? im just aggrivated and would appreciate anybody out there who knows about this stuff to drop me some information on what if anything i can do about trying to stop the thieves before i go ask for my own bailout!!! lol

It's possible that the payment hand't yet cleared on their records and therefore the records were slightly out of date - it's a pretty common issue with credit cards that repayments may not show up immediately, but it may be worth contacting the company just to make sure your repayments are indeed showing as credits.

I would like to know a couple of thinks before I can answer your question:
  1. Is the $2300 loan a line of credit or it is a term loan, if it is, how many months was the loan for?
  2. When did you take out your car loan, please give me the date.
  3. How many months was the loan for?
If I know these details, I could give you an informed answer.
