In theory, I use Quickbooks. It's a great software and all, but I'm negiligent about bookkeeping, unfortunately. It's quite bad!

I would like to start a proper bookeeping system. But am not sure what to use. Do you think that the Quickbooks is the way for me to go?

I use Excel, but I enjoy bookeeping and have an accounting background. Quickbooks or one of its competitors is probably a good choice if you don't share my enthusiasm for playing with spreadsheets.
