Default Breakeven

Hello,

Is it possible to calculate a breakeven without a Sales Price (so no true unit contribution margin)? For example, if I want to invest $100 in a piece of equipment to produce a unit that this is no mark-up, so Sales Price = Variable cost. And say Variable cost is $10. Would the calculation of 100/10 = 10 be an accurate breakeven, or is there another formula that would be more accurate?

Thanks!
