Default Checking your rating...

I imagine that this isn't possible, but is there anywhere on the web that you can check your credit rating or is that not possible due to data protection and the like? If it is possible how would you go about doing that?

There are a lot of places to check your credit rating on the net but most will sucker you into some kind of monthly service for a fee or give you a fake credit score, not your actual FICO score. People should be less worried about what their actual credit score is and just worry about whats showing on your credit. By improving that you'll be on the right track to financial independence. I don't like to sound like I'm just plugging away at my site but please feel free to visit and the the free information there for what its worth.

yes go to annualcreditreport.com this is a service provided by the government. You can check your report for free and pay something like $5 to get your actual credit score.

If you're in the UK, you can check anytime from any of the three credit reference agencies. We have no law granting us free access but can take advantage of free tirlas and get your report for free
