Default College student looking for suggestion

Greetings. I am currently an undergrad junior majoring in Finance, and minoring in MIS. Frankly, I have no clue what finance is like in the real world, and am not sure if it suits my personality or not. I am more of a solitary person who likes to work alone, and not so big on work that requires too much communication. I am wondering what are some of the area or actual position out there that will suit my personality, banking? International financing? I have no clue. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. P.S. I don't want to do real estate.

Well if you would like to ultimately work alone then being an independent financial consultant would be the best for you. but to reach there you have to come out of your comfort zone and work in big organizations to get that valuable experience.

I worked in finance for 8 years and I can tell you that from what you just described your are not well suited to investment banking, or sales and trading. Jobs in these areas have you working with people all the time.
Are you interested in research? If you become an analyst or economist you will likely work alone most of the time, except when you have to present your findings. That could be something for you.
But, I have found that in finance either working on the buy side or sell side you tend to have a lot of interaction with people and that is important. Even if you manage money you still are constantly speaking with analysts and your sales coverage all of whom you will need information from in order to do your job properly, so developing good relationships is key.
Hope this helps...
