Default Credit consolidation and credit report?

I just recently finished paying off my cc's threw a consolidation, how can I start to improve my credit score. The last time I checked my score it was around 630. I am planning a buying a new home and want to know if I can clean it up to get a higher score. Is there anything I can do?

What kind of consolidation did you use? This may play a huge factor in the near future of your credit score. Do you have any other form of credit right now?

Congrats on paying off your credit cards! This is an accomplishment. I totally understand what you are doing. Previously as the training specialist for Consumer Credit Counseling Service, I heard your same concerns many times. You are not alone. Time and patience are key points to remember. Making on time payments to all bills and paying down existing debt/balances will help your score. Do NOT add debt or run-up the credit cards you worked so hard to pay off. If you would like, feel free to contact me for a complimentary coaching session to discuss this in more detail. Best of luck to you with buying a home! Feel free to visit my website, too.

Pay all debts on time and don't max out any of your credit cards.
