WHOAAA!! Hope you kept those email responses for future reference!

This type of condescending attitude should be a red flag and the first symptom to others that this is a "program" to avoid. You are absolutely correct: any business "professional" that would respond with either severe or mild expletives or outright debasing comments is not the type of person that ANYONE should want to conduct business with. It is GREAT however, that you had the foresight and outstanding rationale to ask probing questions, especially prior to investing your money and, more importantly, your irreplaceable time!

Folks, given that the aforementioned respondent is correct, I would suggest extreme caution in approaching this "opportunity" (whose opportunity?). In fact be very cautious of any internet opportunity similar in nature (EDC). Again, to parrot others before me, "there are no easy solutions to building a successful business. All legitimate, sustainable businesses require diligence, discipline and hard work" . . . at least in the formative stages.

What's wrong with starting off small and watching your company evolve? Studies by major business schools have shown that, time and again, slow-to-grow interprets into longevity!

My only motive for contributing to this forum is that, as a seasoned entrepreneur, I have a strong distaste for aspiring entrepreneurs being taken advantage of. Conversely, we love to see folks succeed.

Best wishes to all future entrepreneurs.

Brian,

I must say that I didn't want to sign up to another forum, but in reading the MINDLESS rhetoric your spewing all over this forum about EDC Gold I just had to add my 2 cents. You obviously have NO idea what your talking about, so please do us all a favor and SHUTUP! I am not a member or a affiliated with EDC Gold. I have been doing research into EDC Gold and have found it to be a valid option for people to get into the internet direct sales business. I have NO idea why you are so HELL bent on putting a LEGITIMATE business opportunity down. It's NOT a pyramid scheme, as you have validated several times, but you still find it OK to use the term. Good Grief man, Get some HELP! You obviously don't like the business, and NOBODY is forcing it down your throat, so GET OVER IT! I'm new to this forum, and probably will not come back again, but I must say that you as a MODERATOR?????? have been acting very UNPROFESSIONAL!

Thanks for the comment, brooks - for someone who claims absolutely no interest whatsoever in EDC Gold, you sure do have a very passionate opinion on it.

It looks like EDC Gold would be considered a pyramid scheme in the UK:
Unfair Trading Regulations : Internet Business

Namely:

Quote:
20. Pyramid scheme - establishing, operating or promoting a pyramid promotional scheme where a consumer gives consideration for the opportunity to receive compensation that is derived primarily from the introduction of other consumers into the scheme, rather than from the sale or consumption of products.
I know it's been mentioned plenty of times that EDC Gold allows people to "resell products" - but it's also been made abundantly clear that EDC Gold's primary business model is for members to sign up new members.

It doesn't matter that the pyramid is structured differently to traditional pyramid schemes - it otherwise follows the same pattern.

For all that's gone before - I'm sorry, but EDC Gold is plainly a pyramid scheme.

I have been away for a while but man this has got to be the longest running thread on EDC Gold I have ever seen. It will be interesting to see what effects the finding in the UK has internationally and Indeed to the many other systems that involve 1up, 2up etc that offer e-books as their product. This has always been an interesting thread.
