I have been terrible so far in taking care of my finances. In fact, I've caused myself no end of trouble with my mistakes. I'm sure this is a common enough statement but still, it is mine as well.
I don't know where the money goes, why I spend it and what to do about it. But I'm going to get it right, that's for sure. Can't afford not to really. So, being that I spend a lot of time on computers, I started looking for software to get a handle on things but quickly found that I can't decide what to use. The problem is that some of the ones I've looked at such as Quicken make my brain suddenly become mush with all the options and information required. It's not that I can't handle the software, it's that math of that sort makes me fade out mentally and there is such a raft of information needed that I get lost. The more simpler software presents another problem in that it's basically a straight forward entry program and doesn't help me to understand anything. So what does a person like me do? Is there something "wizard" style that also explains what's going on and what I need to do to fix things? I know this is asking a lot from software but I am desperate. Thanks for any suggestions you might have. Last edited by kylebellamy; 07-23-2007 at 11:48 AM. |
