Default Financial Coaching

Hi,

I'm offering financial coaching (for free) to anyone with personal finance questions.

Why? Because I'm looking to help educate others in the area of personal finance and investing. Also, I love the feeling of giving something back.

We can communicate via phone, Skype, email, or face to face if you live in the Northern VA area.

PM me for contact details.

Are you sure it is for free or you mistyped it and intended it to be for fee?

The way I help people is by publicly answering their questions here on this forum.

Some people have decided that they would rather email me or send me a private message or they went to my webpage and purchased my ebook.

My advice is free... but my time isn't as they say.

In any case...trust is an important factor and I would think that most people will want to get to know you first before they solicit coaching from you.

To gain that trust... you need to post here often, answer questions, be friendly but have a opinion. Give and add value to this place where people meet.

Yes, you read correctly...free. I'm just starting off in the coaching biz and want to get some coaching experience under my belt and help others.

However, I'm amazed at the lack of responses I'm getting. Maybe people are too cynical and think there's a catch, when in fact there isn't.

David,

I understand your point about helping here in forums, which I have. However, I just enjoy chatting with people on a more in depth basis (i.e., phone or Skype) about their financial issues. This is what I believe helps build rapport more than forum posts.

Regardless, maybe you are right in saying that it takes time. I just want people to know that someone is offering help, all they have to do is take advantage of it. I only wish someone would have done the same for me when I needed it, which, now that I think about it, this is why I'm doing it because no one was there to help me in the past or if someone was there, they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for their "help."

My time too is valuable but for the moment, I have a little to spare to help others out.

So you are here in search for some guinea pigs to offer your advises and see what happens (do not mind pun intended) I can understand that you want to establish one on one contact with every body.

But i appreciate David's efforts because he is brave and confident enough to offer his suggestions in public domain, because those advises could be reviewed and criticized by other experts.
May be you are not confident enough currently to expose yourself in the public.

Huh?

It has nothing to do with confidence. I have posted many times in this forum and will continue to do so.

Just trying to give people some help here and the opportunity for a one-on-one. No harm in trying to help people and give them more options, right?

Nice to know that and i hope that you, with your knowledge, will contribute significantly in the forum apart from private help.
