my hubby and i would just ride the cab when we want to get to far places instead of bringing a car. i also ride the train or even the bus when my destinations are not that far.

My husband really do not travel far from home. But it still cost money. So the gas prices do not affect that much.

Have you tried using a gas saving device? There are many available products in the market today and it really helps. Some devices cuts off the consumption by 10 to 25 percent.

Driving at reasonable speed is a must and not a remedy.

Also it is important to keep your car in good running condition. You must strictly follow its maintenance program (i.e. change oil, timing, etc.) . The use of gas saving device could also help you cope with the rising cost of petrol.

Are you talking about the additives? Independent studies (not funded by the additive makers or anyone with a stake in their sales) have proven that the additives on the market do nothing to improve gas mileage.

Gas prices are high. But I have not tried any of those new gas saving devices. I was never sure if they really worked. I always like to wait awhile before trying new things. I like to hear all the feed back on them first.

Very wise, riskey. I tend to be that way on consumer electronics, especially. Let the hype die down and let the results go public.

Well it is getting out of hand. Gas prices jusr went up again. And what is bad about it is they never really give you a good reason for raising it. Just another way to get your money.

Yeah, we had a huge hike this week. The oil industry really gets under my skin. I can't wait until alternative fuels make big oil virtually obsolete.
