I heard this from a show last year. Someone mentioned that having no or just one credit card, with little transactions, could be bad for your rating. Can somone explain why this would be the case, even if you have low debt.

I may be wrong here, but so far as I understand it, a big part of your credit rating is based on your actual debt, and therefore proven capacity to handle debt.
After all, a credit rating is essentially a rating of your creit (ie, debt) management. So no debt can make for a low rating. |

Amazing you have to go into debt to get credit so you can get more debt.... Secured loans seem to help you alot. Like a car. Having one or two credit cards doesn't hurt as long as you keep the balance low.

Silly me but I have not found where can I use a good credit rating although I assume that I do have a good credit rating as I pay my credit cards always on time. I hope that credit rating does not depend on how much I charge because I only charge small amounts...lol
