Unhappy help!! my ex is planning to force forclosure

My ex holds an 80k lien from when we settled the house after divorce. After paying him over 100k already, i have no intention of allowing him to pilfer anymore than he already has. He is planning to force foreclosure, and as i have been flooded with junk mail from foreclosure specialists, i assume he is moving forward with the process. The mortgage is for 700k, the house is worth 800k, and i think i have around 50k in equity. Please help, I'm a dumb blond without the first clue about finance. Thanks , Janice:

How is he forcing foreclosure? Do you live in the house? Are you current on your payments? Is the 80k a second lien?

I would sell the house as soon as possible, but contact a lawyer that specializes in real estate disputes first. Foreclosures won't help either of you financially and it doesn't make sense that he's continuing the process after you've been paying him regularly.

I'm not sure I understand. Do you live in the house and he owns it and you pay him?
