Arrow How do I get a loan for going to a trucking school?

I've never taken out a loan before.

I need around $3k to go to a trucking school. Employers offer tuition reimbursement AFTER employment. I do not have that kind of money and do not know where to go. Does anybody have any advice?

I have a pretty low monthly income ($700), I'm 23, and have a credit score in the 600 range. I rent my residence, and may or may not have a co-signer.

I feel like I'm screwed. I feel like there is NO PLACE to ask for a loan.

Advice please! Thank you very much!

You could check out something like Lending Club which is a pretty good service for people in your situation. Check out some of the reviews out there on the product.

I tried LendingClub already. That didn't work. I am also currently trying Prosper, but it may take a while. Getting a loan is more difficult than I thought.

just use google you are asking for a smaller amount and you will get it if you are not having some bad credit record.

MinnesotaNice,

Let's look at other options. It appears that you are not going to get a loan. Stop beating your head against this wall. Use your time and energy for other alternatives.

For example, how about finding a way to save the money yourself? Cut back on some expenses or get a part-time job to make some extra cash.

Believe it or not loans are not the only answers to getting what you want. Give it a shot.

Yes, I think you may apply with a trucking company that offers tuition assistance. Contact the trucking company you're considering working for and ask their human resource department if they offer a tuition payment program. Some trucking companies will front you the costs for your driver school training and will then have you repay them after you begin employment. Other companies may offer tuition reimbursement programs.
