I'm about to go into mediation with an employer who fired me for an illegal reason. He'll probably want to milk it for as long as he can, and pay it off over 20 years.

If we settle for $500k, how much should I expect to get if I sell that 20-year structured settlement ($25k a year)?

Also, if he refuses to settle, and I have to full-on sue him and get $5 mil, and pay my lawyer her third, leaving me with $3,333,333.33, how much can I sell it for then (again, over 20 years)?
