I have 10, just one that I use frequently and pay off every month. However, I have 5 with balances currently under low-interest rate offers. I'm working like a dog to pay off that debt!

I have 4 of them including my offshore credit card. Offshore credit cards that are issued by international banks operating at offshore banking centers have quite good rates for their credit cards. I have tried HSBC credit card and I can recommend it to you as well. The only drawback is that offshore credit card issuers require a guarantee.

At one point I had 7 credit cards in use and max out balance on most. It took me years to educate myself and pay off each and every one of them blood suckers.
I now only use my Discover card for emergencies and small things to build up the rewards and have manage to stay within a safe limit.

I only have one credit card, there's no point in carrying more than one.

Cash back rewards? Card have different rewards/bonuses for different categories so it helps to have more than 1.

Having more cards is good for your credit rating also (assuming you don't max them out).

I have 8. One is 2% cash back on everything, 1 is 5% cash back on books/restaurants, one is 3% on everyday categories, Discover card, Amex, and 3 other cards that I got recently for sign up bonuses/balance transfer arbitrage from my last app-o-rama.

I have 2 cards. One card I have had a 8-year-history with and one I recently opened a few years ago. I mainly use my debit as credit to get the points and to transfer money into my way to save with wachovia.

My wife and I have 1 Discover card which we only use for Gas and Groceries.

I currently have two, but both have very small credit limits (easy to manage).

I have two with fairly low credit limits. I use them for daily purchases and pay them off in full every month.

if you learn that you can pay your credit cards 7 times a year .... not 12.

Then you will have more cashflow to put toward balance. Since you owe less money they will charge you less interest.

So paying the same amount of money you still we paying more principal with the same payment.

I have one just to start off handling my budget and handling a credit card. But I tend to use my debit card more often that way the credit card is just there for emergencies

I've never seen the point in having more than one. I use it like my debit card, except it gets rewards, and I pay it off every month.

I have 2, will never see why people have 5 or more because it not only is insain, but it KILLS your credit score.
