Question Investing in financial companies, question

Hey

I have this assignment due this week where I have to pickout financial companies to invest in for a mock portfolio. If you have any advice on how to pick a company that will be profitable, and justifify it's increase in value through something they are doing, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Partner picking 101
To boost the odds of forging a profitable strategic partnership, Mike Docherty, CEO of Venture2, a business brokerage that helps partner small and large firms, recommends taking these steps:

1. Shop around: Assess at least three potential partners before entering into detailed discussions.

2. Do a test run: Collaborate on a short-term project before committing for the long haul.

3. Be frank: Discuss your firm's goals, limits, and concerns, and listen to what potential partners have to say about theirs.

4. Designate a point person: Each partner should choose one staffer to be its main liaison throughout the partnership.

5. Create an exit plan: Set separation terms - addressing intellectual-property ownership - for the end of the partnership or if things don't pan out.

I hope this helps
Have a good day

Hey I have one for you I am invested in a private equity fund which gives me a fixed return rate. It doubles my money every 4.5 yrs and you can use this as a short-term investment or a long term one. When looking for an investment make sure they give you a fixed return. And you want it to be low risk high yield investment. If you have any questions i will answer them for you good luck on your project.

AYANNA, you have probably been scammed. For money to double every 4.5 years would require about 16% per year. There isn't any safe investment with those type of returns without risking your principal.

You probably have lost all your money and your quarterly statements are phony frauds.

This is the EXACT same thing Bernard Madoff was doing to his clients.

I'm sorry for your loss.
