Default Investment Banking Risks

I was wondering what kind of risks do Investment Banks encounter in their daily operations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

get a good book on risk management, there is all kinds of and some is technical, some is very real, it all depends on the transaction and investment banking is such a broad topic that there is not enough space

Investment banks encounter serious enough trouble that the loans are at risk, does anyone think the Fed will pull the plug by refusing to roll over the loans? Meanwhile, the money investment banks haven’t been asked to submit to (“We will make it clear as to which cards ? debit, credit or check ?) regulations that would protect the Fed (i.e. taxpayers). But don’t take my word for it:

For one thing Investment Banks will underwrite IPO's most of the time and thats a fair bit of financial risk if the IPO is undersubscribed!
