Default IRA Rollover to Employer 401K Question

Hello,

I want to ask if it is possible to rollover a IRA to my employer 401k without penalties. I had a 401K with a former employer. I rolled that 401K into a Fidelity IRA. I wished that I had rolled it into my current employer 401K. Can I still do this from the Fidelity IRA? I would be rolling $$ from Fidelity IRA to Hewitt 401K.

Default Re: IRA Rollover to Employer 401K Question

Yes you can rollover the pre-tax funds only, and if the employer allows.

My question would be, what makes you think your better off in a 401k than an IRA? You like your employer controlling your retirement assets for you, or are you just trying to qualify for a loan through the plan?
