Re: John Commuta's Transforming Debt to Wealth
I've heard the ad on the radio a lot, so a couple of weeks ago I called. It was a very friendly automated system. After listening to several testimonials, supposedly from real people, the automated lady asked me for my name, then address. Then she autmatedly told me something like, "Great, now we have everything we need to send you the free info. All we ask is that you pay a small amount for shipping. Press 1 to give your credit card number." (WARNING BELLS RING IN MY BRAIN--these people were not getting my credit info!). I tried telling it 'no card' and trying to circumvent giving my number, while the pre-recorded lady would say, "Now don't you want this wonderful system? Isn't it worth it? Great, just let me get your credit card number." I said, "forget it," and hung up.
That was when I realized the scam. The scam is not the information. From what I've read here, it's good sensible information and, if you stop to think about it(or read on online), you can learn about the concept of "snowballing" and how to avoid paying charges you don't need. The information seems sound. THE SCAM IS IN HOW THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM GETS YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER FOR THE SHIPPING AND THEN IS ABLE TO JUST CHARGE AWAY!
The Transforming Debt to Wealth system is something like 7 payments of $500(if I remember correctly from the automated lady). I think I just saved myself $3500 in unnecessary debt! Thank you John Commuta. They should call it "Transforming your debt into John's Wealth!"
By the way, less than a week later, the free materials arrived in the mail. I guess either the the shipping and payment systems were not connected or they decided to foot the bill. Either way, my advice is don't leave your card number.
