Joint Saving Account

Hi there,

Me and and my wife Jane are planning to open joint saving account.
My questions is:

1. Should we open it? I meant, should wife and husband open it? *(it sound a bit ridiculous since this are our plan)
2. What is the advantages and disadvantages of joint account savings for married couple?
