Default Just a quick question!

Hi! Wonderful site! I've learned a lot just browsing the forums so far.

My question is how long does thread approval by an admin generally take? I only ask because its been a a while since I submitted mine and I am starting to worry that I did something wrong.

Also, one suggestion: List the name of the forum / sub-forum administrators as appropriate to make contacting one easier! Unless I'm overlooking them, I can't seem to find an admin to ask about my thread directly!

Thank you guys!

Either you guys are busy with other things, or I did something that doesn't sit well with the forum staff...

I am starting to think from reading other posts that you didn't set this site up with the intention of answering trivial, highly specific questions like mine. Maybe you were aiming for more in-depth discussion from people already 'in the know' and that's fine, but you could simply tell people that.

If you guys simply are busy with life and haven't got around to approving my thread than I completely understand. Offering advice for free in your spare time is a gift to others, not a right and I appreciate you taking the time to do it. But if I'm simply being ignored because my question was on a financial-kindergarten level, well...

I admit I didn't read the FAQ before trying to post as they are usually almost identical from board to board. However, I just did and I do not see the relevance of any information in the FAQ to my question.

Perhaps the rules for posting threads vary from sub-forum to sub-forum, I don't know. All I know is that when I attempt to post in the Personal Loans section, I receive a message saying that the thread must be approved by an administrator before it will post to the forum.

I tried again to verify that it wasn't an error on my part and received the same message. Is this a technical issue, or do threads indeed need to be approved?

Well I would love to, but to leave a visitor message your post count must be 10 or higher. To send a private message your post count must be 15 or higher... Looks like people seeking assistance are out of luck. I could spam the forums but I am willing to bet that isn't looked upon kindly.

Does anyone with admin access read the posts in this section?

Would it possible for someone with the appropriate access to simply move a post I make in this section into the correct sub-forum? I would very much like to simply post my question here and hope someone answers it, however, I realize this isn't the correct sub-forum and I'm trying very hard to respect the rules and organization of your web site.

Apologies for the confusion and not a problem - had to spend the past few days (ie, my entire weekend) writing up client reports, so I've not had time to login, but I'll get the post approved now.

Thank you Brian! I appreciate you guys taking time out of your schedules to run this website!

Also, I wasn't trying to spam the forum with the same post, so if you want you can delete one of the two threads that would, of course, be fine (There is one in Personal Loans section and one under Debt). I was just testing the waters in another sub-forum to see if my post would show up there without approval!
