Hello, If your happy with your returns that means your making some money. I would suggest that you invest where you are the most comfortable. Someone will always make more money in the market. Don't worry about missing anything. There are no bulls running very hard just yet..... Better to be safe than lose. Although I have been watching that car company in India (TTM). It looks like they are set to do pretty well. Regards, Robert

Direct investment, especially in overseas markets, is ideal for experienced investors or professionals. Gotta love the commercials for E-Trade where they show individual investors buying investments in overseas markets. Great commercials, but horrible advice for a typical investor.
Keep in mind that investing is a competition. For every trade that is transacted, there will be a winner AND a loser. When you are investing directly you are facing professional money managers, institutional investors, brokerage firms, and hedge funds in battle. An inexperienced investor can lose a lot of money against this type of competition. There is a lot of money out there to be invested, and only a fixed pool of individual investments to choose from. With a high quality mutual fund, index fund, or ETF, you can get access to typically any market very efficiently. Do your homework/research on investing overseas since there are risks that you may not have considered (currency risk, for example). Also, not all stock markets have the same rules as Wall Street. Investing in India, for example, on the Bombay Exchange, can be treacherous for an inexperienced investor. India's market isn't as tightly regulated and therefore there are things going on there with investing that would make the subprime mortgage mess "page 6 news". ![]() |
