You will never have a zero credit score, but the rest is possible. Do you have a strategy in place? This kind of dream is possible to those who are willing to work very hard and follow a charted course of action. Break it down to how much you will need, how soon, how much you need to put away each month to get there, then do what it takes to stick to that plan.

I think that is great of you to be thinking that way. I wish I would have done something like this when I was young. But of course I buried myself in debt, but the good thing is I did get out of it.

Tater, it's great that you got out from under the debt. Did it take a long time, a specific course of action? How did you manage it?

I do have a plan. it's called Dave Ramsey. His total money makeover book is great. it's not easy, takes time. but it's working.

That is great, but in a previous post you said his program didn't work for you!

I'd be interested to learn more about Dave Ramsey and how his program compares to John Commuta or Carleton Sheets

I basically go rid of all my credit cards and just paid them off a little at a time every month. I went and paid the big ones off first or the ones with the highest interest rates.

That is a very good plan. I might adopt that myself.
