whats your monthly take home net and the rest of your expenses, ie. living expenses?
What are your interest rates at? What is your credit looking like? This will help in the responses you get back. |

I would suggest you read the book "Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey.
He is the best out there an lays out the easy plan to take control of your personal finances.

Not too hard... Live frugally throughout college and start making a little money when you get out (and having fun with it). Have a little too much fun, coupled with a wedding, coupled with moving (at least once), coupled with fixing two cars 4 times, coupled with student loans. Netted my wife and I over 20k in debt with nothing really to show (except two working cars).
Throw in a baby as this gentleman did and it's not hard at all. |

Sit down with your wife and write out a budget. You both need to agree that you will spend nothing except what you have agreed too.
Consider what you can cut, like food, entertainment, cable, cell phones etc. Get a side job if possible, it can be temporary while you get out of debt. If you want to prosper and live a less stressful life, I suggest you live debtfree and save money. Read Dave Ramsey's The Total Money Makeover, it will give you a plan to follow. Learning about personal finance now, will help you tremendously. |

It is going to be rough at first especially with a baby on the way (congratulations by the way). As I would always suggest to anyone you should consult your financial advisor. He could really help you delve into what your looking for. I would suggest just rationing out what you make. Hopefully it will be able to help you pay off the rest of your loans over time. Don't spend on what you don't need.
