How about the military? My friend joined the Air Force as a Programmer, had similiar skills as you, he got out after 4 years and got a job paying 80k+ a year without having any college background (college is over rated it really only helps you out in a lot of government or state jobs)

If you can live off of $8 and $6 an hour then your debt load is probably non-existent or very low. I would proceed to wherever you want and do what you want, there are $8 and $6 jobs all over the country and when the cost of living goes up those regular jobs tend to go up in salary too so you should be able to live and do whatever you want right now, unless your goal is to find a job that pays more; I don't know anything about ATV racing.

I do know that programmers are in high demand and if you don't join the military or find a job that will take you on so you can get some experience, a 2 year tech school that involves nothing but programming might be beneficial. They won't make you go over the basic crap that you have to take in the first year or two of traditional schools.

But the military is an awesome start for people if you can get a high enough score on their test so you can pick any profession you want. Marry your girlfriend take her with you, lots of experiences to be had.

The military is a good idea. Also try Daytona Beach but if she gets pregnant remember that type of wage won't last long.

I am trying to get a hold of a black hat for some security problems I am having. Can you help.

Sarahandane, if you're working in computer programming for just $7/hour, it shouldn't be too hard to find better pay - heck, if you had even a simple grasp of the basics of PHP and Javascript, I'd consider employing you in my own company for more than that!!
