Hi Lucyme and welcome to The Finance Forums.

Not sure what you mean about being bored with the BT shares - surely the aim is to work on a profit strategy - ie, sell when buy and b uy when low - rather than simply change because you'd like change??

Or have I misunderstood something here?

Hi Brian Thanks for your response, Just meant I have been holding onto them for years and recently received a £8.00 dividend and thought I would get more benefit from putting the few hundred pounds I would sell them for, into my high interest account and get more benefit in the long run.
I am not into buying and selling shares !! at all, but if the advise is to hold onto them for some reason I would.
Thanks
Lucyme

No problem, Lucyme.

I really can't advise on what you should do with them - other than get some detailed information on your options for if you do sell them, and the gains (and potential hidden costs) involved if you do.

Hope that helps.
