Re: Personal Loan and Bad Credit...

My mother co-signed for me. I've made all the payments and was only late maybe a couple times. Each time I was late I called and let them know the situation (keep in mind this was only on one or two occasions). However, the personal loan is not the reason why my credit is bad.
A long time ago I applied for a sears card. I never actually received the card, and I kind of just forgot about it. I started receiving letters in the mail saying the amount owed was handed over to a collections agency. I never once used the card so I didn't know how that was possible. I was unemployed at the time, so I could not pay off the debt.
I want a motorcycle, and last weekend I went to a local dealership to see if I was eligible for financin*** The sears card came up on their search, and they told me that it was really hurting my credit. Needless to say, I was denied a loan. I plan on paying off this sears card tomorrow.
With all that said, here is the reason for this thread (and I hop you all are still with me, Lol): I still want a motorcycle. With my credit being what it is, I was wondering if there is any way I can take out a personal loan WITHOUT a co-signer. I don't care about interest rates or anything like that. I make decent money so cash is not an issue. I just need to know of any reputable, legit companies that would allow a person like me to take out a loan for about $6,000-$8,000.
I'm sure some of you guys see this a lot and I apologize if I'm touching on a subject that has been answered a thousand times. But as I've stated, the money is not an issue, just need someone who will approve me!
Thank you.

The answer is no. Your in no financial condition to purchase a bike right now either. And, you should care about the interest rates! Why would you want to be underwater and paying thousands more for something you don't even NEED. Also, if you never received or used the Sears card then why would you pay it off? That would be identity theft and needs to reported as such. Pay off your bills ON TIME, save your money, and pay in cash.
