Default Personal Loans

I have not went for a personal loan for a long time. But a friend of mine was telling me the other day that personal loans are getting harder to get. Meaning if you are looking to buy a car or something tanigable like that they are easier to get. I was just wondering if anyone on here is also seeing this?

Unsecured personal loans will always be more difficult and more expensive to get. Once you have established a good FICO score, things will be a bit easier. Watching for credit card offers with higher limits and no annual fees gives you an opportunity to transfer several low balance cards which consolidates the debt, and shows you paying off your other accounts. Cut up the old cards, but do not close the accounts. This will improve your scores and allow you to focus on eliminating the one payment. Once the debt is gone, keep just one card for use and pay it off monthly.

Thank you for the explanation and the tips. It never even dawned on me he was referring to an unsecured loan.
