Default Provident Finance

I was recently browsing the net in work and came across an advert for Provident Finance. I couldn't believe my eyes when I checked their site out (for a bit of a laugh really!) and saw that their typical rate was 177% APR. I know that their target audience are people claiming benefits but that is just completely wrong.

Something should be done about it!

If I recall, Provident Finance only do really low end loans to people who have no other choice - so you're basically talking about unemployed and similar borrowing maybe £100, so while the interest is high, the gross amount repaid is small relatively speaking.

pping coupons is back! More and more women are now shaving at least $50 a week off their budget by clipping coupons. There are billions of coupons distributed and only a small percentage is redeemed.

One of the biggest advantages to Provident loans is that all their loans are unsecured. This means that you're not required to put up any collateral for the loan and if you fail to repay the loan, none of your assets are at risk of repossession.
The only downside to unsecured loans is the higher rate of interest you're charged because of the greater risk to the lender.
