1. With about a fifth of it's net export monies coming from the U.S. China definitely is concerned with protecting its image, as a consumer does the label "Made in China" have any influence over your purchasing decisions?

Are you at all considering checking the labels of products from now on?
Personally, I do tend to buy products made in china, in fact, there are at least 30 in the room I'm sitting in as I type right now. Good or bad, China has permeated my family.
Whether or not something is "Made in China" has no influence on my purchases now though, I look for value and cost, and try to get the most value for the least cost, many times that means a Chinese product.
