Default A Star Claims: is this a scam?

Hi,

I have recently been approached following a car accident I had in November 2010. The accident was my fault and I admitted liability to ensure the other party was paid out. This company stated to me that I can claim the remaining pot of money set aside by the insurance company on behalf of my 6 year old daughter who was my passenger. This sounds too good to be true BUT I also canít work out the scam.

I do not have to give any details that I did not originally gave, I have been assured that there are no fees to me and I would receive a cheque (no bank detail requested).

Can someone please advise? They have told me that the payout has been agreed and we only need to sign the form to get a cheque. They are pushing me to arrange a face to face meeting to conclude this.

Any help would be appreciated. I am told this is worth about £2k to me and is a simple loop hole.

Thanks all.

Emma

Sounds a bit dodgy to me....don't meet them on your own, or if not in a public place....
