Yeah thats what I'm working on is trying to make have my money allow me a more general idea. I found a store around my area that buys clothes and pays you 35% of what they could sell them back for, I made a 100$ though now feel guilty as I probably should have sent them to goodwill but I can prob dig up more for that. My worst break downs financially are at the end of a long day of work and just saying F it and then running out and buying food that costs 15$ then maybe a drink, add that to my lunch etc and its an expensive day!

A warning when it comes to discount vouchers. Which? investigated the five biggest voucher sites, and found that many discount codes are out of date or didn't work at all. More worryingly, it found that prices were sometimes lower on standard comparison sites than at retailers offering discount codes.

Most of the major players now subscribe to a new code of ethics introduced from 1 January this year by the Internet Advertising Bureau, the trade association for the internet marketing industry, which has reduced the number of fake discount problems.


The new code of conduct bans the practice of "click to reveal", when there is no valid or current offer. Many websites used to (and, in defiance of the IAB code, some still do) encourage consumers to click on to a retailer's name and go into their website, only to discover that no discount code is on offer.

As far as saving money, our country is obsessed with spending. However, after this recession, I would imagine people will have learned their lesson. I hope that people deposit more of their disposable income into their savings rather than using it for consumption purposes. A good strategy for saving money is to compile a weekly/monthly budget and stick to it. Put a consistent amount of money into savings each week/month. As far as making money, there are a lot of opportunities out there, you just have to look. A great option for many people is blogging. Blogging is becoming very popular and companies are taking advantage of this. There are many blogging jobs available (just look on Craigslist and sites similar). The companies pay pretty well and it's a work from home job.

ez|123, I totally agree with you, and you are right about people curbing there spending and saving, it was put out in the news today that people cut there debt by 21.6Billion, almost 6 times the expected amount. I think thats great.
