am not a home owner as yet, but i think its a natural step, you get to a point when you feel a need for independence (move out from mum and dad's) and its either renting or getting a mortgage. currently in the UK its not much cheaper to rent than to get a mortgage so i think it makes sense to find your first home as soon as you move out of your parents'
