Talking Tips on working from home

Questions to ask before you work from home:

Is it a scam?

Answer:
If your direct employer won't meet you face to face, or if they pay you before you work, it's a scam.

If you meet face to face and are paid after you put in time, it's more than likely safe.

What company should I work with from home?

Answer:
My advice is if you don't already have one in mind, research a few of them then try to find people who are in the business and talk to them to see how it's working for them.

If any of you all have any more quiestions about working from home, I'd be happy to answer them. I've been working from home through ***** for 5 months now and I absolutely love it. I'm on the track to success.

There are some really good points made here but working from home is becoming more and more real each and every day. More jobs based from home are available now more then ever and I think its wonderful.

Katie, what are you talking about?

The clear way to recognise a scam is:

1. They ask you to pay money to join
2. You earn money from joining other people to the scheme

I employ over 20 people and everyone works from home, and I've never met a single one of them. They all have a secure position, paid well, and certainly there's no scam!

I think you're just confused, and one of the thousands of clueless people who join a scam, then run around posting to forums trying to get everyone signed up to your ponzi scheme because you can't earn otherwise.

I've seen plenty of scams where people are willing to meet face-to-face. In fact, most people who lead scams are charismatic and very good at convincing people that what they are doing isn't a scam.

I always like to draw out the profit model of some idiot posing a scam. Then I draw a triangle around it and walk away.

Who here has ever got someone pitching a scam to admit their idea is a scam or triangle scheme? I bet almost nobody.

I had a good friend of mine called me to offer me a financial plan that as he said "would change my life" and then he presented me with a Primerica deal which from the start I did not like but I went along with it just so I would not make him feel bad and filled out all the applications and provided him with income and debt info, etc but then he wanted me to refinance my home for 8.25% when I already had a rate of 6% and when I told him NO so he stormed out of my home and last time I saw him he would not even acknowledge me! He is brainwashed by his Primerica scam friends and wants nothing to do with anyone not being a part of his "cult" Anyone had any experiences with Primerica??

I've been invited twice to join some scheme that seems to be all over the northeast. Basically, you set up a site selling products. These people claim to have good deals, and to have exclusive access. They also will ship the product for you.

So yeah, you can make money...so it isn't a pyramid scheme. However, if you want to make real money, you get money for signing people up and a percentage of their sales, as does the person above you and so on. So yeah...not a pyramid scheme as long as you're fine with making next to nothing.

The way you can tell it's a scheme is because of how persistent the salesmen are. I'll have an idiot acquantence join, who then tells the salesman I'm in business. The person then calls me two to three times leaving messages about meetings going on in the area.

If you have an idea to make profit, do you share it with everyone? No. You capitalize and if need be expand through franchising, licensing, and other agreements. You never hold meetings looking for people with no credentials to run offshoots.

The trick with Primerica is to use their services without getting all wrapped up in selling them. I have family members who used to sell the stuff and they always asked me to (which I declined) however I set up a retirement IRA and it's payin multiple times out compared to what my other "traditional" set up is.

Very true. The sole reason behind this is the INTERNET. It has truly opened the doors for business opportunities.

Don't understand what the OP is saying! You don't have employees if you work from home - you become your own boss. If there are trust issues with services/websites online then Google them!

What I'm about to say is not about working from home like as an admin ass't, but working for yourself as a marketer:

The internet has changed everything, for sure, ezl123. in many ways leveled the playing field and allowed the little gal or guy to strike gold, so to speak.

I'm doing internet marketing and the thing most people do when they decide to prospect for 'net gold is either look for non-skilled things they can do, which often involves recruiting others to build a downline, or they spend money on the latest,
greatest revolutionary program the likes of which has ever been seen...or so the guru selling it would have you believe.

Few people are willing to actually learn the needed skills and be willing to work for months making almost nothing. So they jump from one activity or program to another, and when it's not fast money they keep hopping to the next until they give up.

The reality is, there are some basic skill sets which can be absolutely learned within a year that will guarantee them a steady income, and possibly a spectacular income. But they aren't willing to do the work when the money is not forthcoming.

The two best ways to make money working for yourself on the 'net are list building
and bum marketing. Bum marketing you can do for free (except for 'net access) and
list building you can do for about $10 a month for web hosting, $10 a year for your domain and about $20 a month for an autoresponder, which lets you keep in touch with the subscribers to your list. (About $30 a month all together, plus 'net access.)

There's plenty of free info on these subjects. The trend in 'net marketing is to give away a lot of great info free to entice people to pay for more advanced info, or tools and shortcuts. But what you can learn for free can make you the money to pay for the other stuff, if you so choose.

The internet is doubling every 100 days, still. It's really in it's infancy. Those who
think it's too late could not be more wrong.

Human nature, being as it is though, only about 3% of those who try to make money online ever make a penny. That is because 97% don't learn the basic skill set(s) and stick with it. If they did, then everyone could make money.

These days, thanks to the 'net, you can make affiliate / referral money on just about anything. Walmart has an affiliate program, for God's sake. Affiliates drive traffic
to company websites where software keeps track of that traffic, and what was spent.
Then they get a percentage of the sales.

With bum marketing, you publish articles on free websites. The articles subjects are about what people are typing into search engines to get info on. You get free search engine traffic to your article and your article links to the company website you are affiliated
with. The beauty is you are not so much selling, as you are simply providing info to interested people and pointing them in the direction they were going already.

This is the difference between selling books door to door, or selling them at a book store.

As long as the 'net remains up and running and people are buying things, you'll be able to make money.

The internet changed everything.

I can freelance from my place with the type of work I do, but I heard that people who did it they become anti-social after they did it for some time.)
