We have our personal and business checking accounts at Fifth Third and I'm very happy with them. I've been banking with them for 8 years now and never really had a problem. We won't open a savings account with them, however - you must have at least $300 in it and we keep our savings for emergency purposes and may need to go below that number - if you do, it's a $5/month fee.
We have our savings account at our local credit union, and I'm very happy with them. They have no minimum balance, but a low interest rate. Not a huge issue, though, that's just our emergency money. And with having an account there, we were able to refinance my husband's truck at a lower interest rate, and we can get a $5,000 signature loan at any time (I don't think I'll need to use it, but it's nice to have the option). We also just recently opened a savings account with HSBC because of the high interest rate. I have no complaints as of right now, very easy to use. |

I have an ING account and Washington Mutual. So far I have been happy with both. I think there are banks with a higher yield than ING but I am using this as an account for emergency funds (still a small balance).

I use a credit union. From now on, I always will. They have better rates and customer service than any bank. Their only drawback is that they are not chartered for business accounts. I recommend my credit union to anyone who asks where I bank.

I bank at my local bank. They provide the best rates for savings accounts and give you some better deals on investments and better interest rates on loans. The only downside I see to this bank is the fact that there are only a few ATM's that I can get money at. Which in the grand scheme of things isn't bad at all. It can also be difficult with credit cards because I didn't apply for most of my credit cards through the bank. I would recommend this bank to a friend. Local banks are given a bad reputation because they aren't as spread out as most banks, however you have better service than most banks.
